What Are Pickleball Ratings?

Pickleball ratings help players understand their current skill level and find the right programs, open play sessions, leagues, and tournaments.

Ratings are used to:

  • Assess Skill – Track your progress as you improve.

  • Match Players Fairly – Create better games with similar skill levels.

  • Guide Development – Help identify what to work on next.

  • Set Program Levels – Make sure players join the right clinics, leagues, and events.

  • Create Consistency – Give players and coaches a shared way to understand level.

At Rockii, ratings are used to support player growth, fair play, and a better club experience.

How Rockii Uses Ratings

Rockii may use a combination of:

1. Coach Evaluation
A Rockii coach may assess your skills through drills and gameplay, including serves, returns, dinks, volleys, movement, positioning, consistency, and strategy.

2. DUPR Rating
DUPR is a performance-based pickleball rating system that updates based on match results. It is commonly used for leagues, tournaments, and competitive play.

3. Self-Rating & Program Placement
Players may self-select their level when registering for certain programs, but Rockii may adjust placement if needed to keep play fair, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.

Our Goal

Ratings are not meant to discourage players. They are meant to help you find your level, follow the right pathway, and continue improving with confidence.

This isn’t just a business, it’s a reflection of what we believe in. We’re here to create work that matters, led by a shared commitment to quality and care.
